Jamie, Jack and Basia followed instructions to make salt dough then cut out gingerbread men which were baked in the oven to harden. They then painted them in art and will create different designs on them next week.
In numeracy we have enjoyed using the Topmarks website to practise counting, making amounts and ordering amounts from smallest to largest using the gingerbread man theme. http://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/gingerbread-man-game
The children also practised recognising dot patterns on gingerbread men and completed activities of making amounts and keeping track of drawing dots on laminated gingerbread men.
Jamie, Jack and Basia took turns during cooking to make delicious gingerbread men. They had lots of fun practising their measuring and mixing skills.
The children loved decorating their gingerbread men....then eating them!
