Its all gone a bit spooky in LCC

We love halloween in LCC1 we have been making lots of things to decorate the classroom to make it looj really spooky. We hope you like the pictures.

What's been happening in LCC1.

The boys and girls in LCC1 have been working really hard the last few weeks. In maths we have been working with hundreds, tens and units and splitting up the number. We are really confident using tens and units but we are finding hundreds a little harder. We love playing http://www.ictgames.com/sharkNumbers/sharkNumbers_v5.html it really helps us.

Ordinal Numbers and Autumn

Another busy week in LCC1. We have been learning about ordinal numbers, we used our toys to have races to see who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd. This was lots of fun.

We have also started think about Autumn. We painted a lovely tree  which we will change when the seasons change.
Also can you guess which animal we made using our hand prints.

This week in LCC1

We have been working hard this week.
In language we were thinking of lots of different Ch words. We thought of lots of great words.
In maths we have been looking 100 squares and learning the names of all the numbers.

Our Bread

Our bread look at the pictures of us making bread.

The Little Red Hen

The children in LCC1 have been learning about the story of The Little Red Hen. So far we have looked at the story and learned all about the characters. We have also been able to sequence the story.
Today we took a walk down to Sainsbury's to buy the ingredients we need to bake our bread tomorrow in class. We will post pictures of our bread tomorrow. We can't wait to try it. :)
